"Give me a lot of sauce" request from a regular customer
Owner's witty response to customer request 'Trending'
A restaurant owner who gave a witty response to a customer's complaint about asking for extra sauce has become a hot topic.
On the 31st of last month, a story was posted on an online community about a customer who ordered seasoned chicken from a famous hamburger franchise and complained about the lack of sauce. The poster, Mr. A, began by saying, "I recently ordered a chicken set from my regular franchise hamburger place through a delivery application (app). However, the seasoned chicken sauce came in very small amounts."
Mr. A wrote in the delivery app review, "Seasoned chicken is only seasoned chicken when it's thoroughly soaked in sauce. It's disappointing if the sauce is applied carelessly." Later, Mr. A warned the store that if the chicken came with little sauce again, he would send a certified letter.
Afterward, Mr. A said he couldn't hold back his laughter when he saw the delivered chicken. The store owner, Mr. B, had written a witty reply on the chicken delivery box: "We put in a lot of sauce. Please don't send a certified letter!"
Looking at the photo Mr. A posted, the box is filled with seasoned chicken. The sauce is generously coated, and there is plenty of sauce at the bottom of the box as well. Mr. A praised, "I had a truly excellent meal today," adding, "There are too many branches that don't do this well. I was very happy today."
Netizens who saw the story responded with comments such as, "The owner's wit really stands out," "It seems he humbly accepted good criticism," "The chicken looks very delicious," and "You can feel the owner's generosity."
On the other hand, some netizens reacted with comments like, "Troublemakers don't realize they are troublemakers," "It's only because the owner took it well that this is okay, but it's still troublemaking," and "Is it okay to write threats in requests just because you're a regular customer?"
