Chungnam Sejong Nonghyup has stepped up to help with farm labor as the farming season begins.
On the 14th, about 900 employees of Nonghyup, public institutions, and volunteer groups assisted in harvesting agricultural products such as onions and garlic at farms in 16 cities and counties.
Nonghyup plans to continue supporting rural labor by designating specific days for labor assistance to help farms struggling with labor shortages during harvest.
Baek Namseong, the head of the headquarters, said, "As the peak season for harvesting seasoning vegetables arrives, the labor shortage in rural areas has reached its highest point. Nonghyup will continue to cooperate with local governments and related organizations to overcome the rural labor shortage."
