Korea Investment Trust Management announced on the 13th that the 'Korea Investment Global AI & Semiconductor TOP10 UH' fund ranked first in year-to-date returns among public funds of the same type.

According to FnGuide, as of the 12th, the year-to-date return of the Korea Investment Global AI & Semiconductor TOP10 UH (S-R Class) is 33.67%. This figure surpasses the average return of 19.13% for the same category. It ranked first among 257 overseas stock-type information and communication sector public funds launched domestically.

The excellent performance of the Korea Investment Global AI & Semiconductor TOP10 fund is analyzed to be due to the effective investment strategy tailored to the characteristics of the artificial intelligence (AI) and semiconductor industries. The AI and semiconductor industries are ecosystems where existing big tech companies with capital and data dominate through investment, creating a 'winner-takes-all' environment. Additionally, AI and semiconductor technologies are characterized by 'synergy' through convergence across industries. The Korea Investment Global AI & Semiconductor TOP10 fund focuses approximately 80% of its investment on the top 10 companies in the AI and semiconductor industries, considering these characteristics.

Hyuntae Kim, head of the Global Quantitative Management Department at Korea Investment Trust Management, who manages the fund, said, "The excellent performance of the Korea Investment Global AI & Semiconductor fund was due to selectively investing in global leading stocks with monopolistic power, reflecting the characteristics of the representative winner-takes-all industries of AI and semiconductors." He added, "It is a suitable product for investors who want to effectively invest in companies that will lead future industries."

In addition to the mentioned foreign exchange exposure type (UH), the Korea Investment Global AI & Semiconductor TOP10 fund has also been launched in a foreign exchange hedged type (H) that hedges exchange rate fluctuation risks and a USD type that allows direct investment with held US dollars (USD), depending on investment objectives.
