As of the 7th, a post titled "Congratulations on the death of trainee OOO (real name)" is posted on WOMAD. The post was uploaded in the early morning of the 30th of last month, when the deceased trainee's funeral was held, and has not been deleted to date.

The author of the post, Mr. A, mentioned the late Sung Jae-gi, the former representative of the Men's Solidarity who died after jumping off Mapo Bridge in 2013, saying, "You two should have a good talk in the afterlife," and "No matter how young you are, Jae-gi has high standards and won't meet you," making insulting remarks without hesitation. He also added, "Please say a word to OO, who is probably going straight to hell."

The post by Mr. A included the real names of the trainee and his parents, the funeral portrait, the funeral schedule, and photos of the mourning hall. They also posted a photo of the deceased trainee’s face blurred with doodles of tears added. Several comments agreeing with the post were also posted, sharing opinions such as "The person in charge of the military discipline training should be called a hero," "Men would only commit various sex crimes if they lived longer," and "He’s just a Han-nam (a derogatory term for Korean men), so what’s the big deal?"

In response, the Army stated, "Mocking posts related to the trainee’s death seriously damage the honor of the deceased and the bereaved family," and warned, "Such behavior must stop immediately, and we strongly demand restraint from posting defamatory comments."

The deceased trainee collapsed while undergoing military discipline training with five other trainees at the 12th Division training center in Inje, Gangwon Province, around 5:20 p.m. on the 23rd. He was transferred to a hospital but died two days later. The mourning hall for the deceased trainee was set up at a funeral home in Naju, Jeollanam-do, on the 28th. The Gangwon Provincial Police Agency received the case from the Army and is investigating the company commander and deputy company commander on charges of professional negligence causing death and abuse of authority involving harsh treatment.
