Camping Festival 'Doshi Camping Daejeon' Enjoyed in Downtown Daejeon Opens on the 6th

Daejeon City announced that it will hold the '2024 Urban Camping Daejeon,' where visitors can enjoy camping and festivals in the city, from the 6th to the 9th at the Daejeon Convention Center (DCC) Exhibition Hall 2, Expo Science Park, and the Gapcheon Riverside area.

Now in its second year, the '2024 Urban Camping Daejeon' will feature various programs including △ Urban Camping Daejeon Expo △ 1-night 2-day camping experience △ Pretty Tent Contest celebration performance △ Food zone, and more.

At the Urban Camping Daejeon Expo held in DCC Exhibition Hall 2, visitors can explore a variety of camping equipment such as campers and camping tents. Those wishing to participate can pre-register through the Urban Camping Daejeon website. On-site registration is also available during the event, and middle school students can enter free of charge by presenting their student ID.

At the Gapcheon Riverside area, pre-registered participants can take part in camping, moonlight walking, and the Tent King (tent decorating contest) selection competition over a 1-night 2-day period.

Additionally, invited singers 'Min Kyung-hoon' and 'Yoon Ddan Ddan' will perform celebratory concerts at Hanbit Square. At the food truck zone located at Hanbit Square and Expo Bridge, visitors can enjoy various foods and beers along with busking performances until the 16th.

No Gi-su, Director of the Culture and Tourism Bureau of Daejeon City, said, "Daejeon boasts the highest green space ratio among metropolitan cities nationwide," adding, "We hope people can have a special and attractive experience through urban camping that allows them to enjoy nature away from their busy daily lives."
