Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) is a system that comprehensively manages risk factors such as pesticides and heavy metals at each stage of agricultural production, post-harvest management, and distribution, based on the core values of agricultural product safety, preservation of the agricultural environment, and worker safety. The purpose is to enhance consumer trust and strengthen the competitiveness of agriculture.

The training covered the GAP standards, certification system, and practical guidelines necessary for certification. Farmers seeking new or renewed certification are required to complete a two-hour basic training once every two years.

Rha Sangwoo, Director of the Agricultural Technology Center, stated, "Consumer demand for safe agricultural products is increasing. Starting with the local food direct sales store, we will strengthen the connection of GAP certification to agricultural product promotion events and export products to expand sales channels and build consumer trust."
