Application Deadline June 17... Comprehensive Evaluation of Plans, Motivation, and SNS
Shinhan Card announced on the 29th that it is recruiting the ‘SOL Travel University Student Overseas Expedition Team,’ which supports up to 3 million KRW in overseas travel expenses for university students holding the ‘Shinhan SOL Travel Check Card.’
The SOL Travel Expedition Team allows participants to freely plan everything from team composition to travel destinations. Teams of 2 to 4 current or on-leave university students nationwide can apply. Applicants must list their preferred travel destinations in order of priority (1st and 2nd choices), and the travel period can be selected during the university vacation months of July to August.
Selected expedition team members will receive 2 million KRW per person for overseas travel expenses such as airfare and accommodation. Teams chosen as outstanding in the social networking service (SNS) evaluation will receive an additional 1 million KRW per person. Participants will also be provided with travel goods necessary for overseas trips, including chargers, card wallets, and expedition team T-shirts. In addition, Shinhan Card will provide extra support for local activities through global partners and affiliated tourism offices, and a dedicated manager from the expedition team office will listen to travel-related concerns in real time.
Shinhan Card is accepting expedition team applications on its official website or the Shinhan SOL Pay event page until June 17. The selection will be based on a comprehensive review of activity plans, motivation for applying, and SNS activity. Among the applicants, 300 people will be randomly selected to receive a Starbucks gift card worth 30,000 KRW.
A Shinhan Card representative said, “Since all itineraries are operated through autonomous decision-making, we expect university students to cultivate global social experience and civic awareness,” adding, “We will continue to strive to provide global financial service experiences such as foreign currency account opening and currency exchange in connection with the SOL Travel Check Card.”
