Booyoung Group won the Residential Welfare category at this year's Asia Economy Apartment Brand Awards. In August last year, Booyoung also played the role of a 'housing ladder' for the homeless by supplying the private rental apartment 'Taebaek Forest Ashiang' in Taebaek City, Gangwon Province, as part of its rental housing business.
Taebaek Forest Ashiang is an apartment complex located at 119 Gowon-ro, Hwangji-dong, Taebaek City (former KBS Taebaek Broadcasting Station site). It consists of two complexes with a total of 1,226 households. Complex 1 has 7 buildings with 650 households (334 units of 59㎡ and 316 units of 84㎡), ranging from 12 to 28 floors above ground and 2 basement levels. Complex 2 has 6 buildings with 576 households of 59㎡, ranging from 21 to 28 floors above ground and 2 basement levels. This is the first large-scale new apartment complex supplied in Taebaek in five years.

This complex offers high residential stability. Booyoung Housing, as the rental business operator, recruits tenants who will rent for more than 10 years. It is a so-called long-term general private rental housing, allowing residents to live without worrying about moving for at least 10 years. With rental deposit insurance, the rental deposit is guaranteed, and under the Private Rental Housing Act, there are limits on the increase of the deposit, reducing the burden of housing costs.
Booyoung Group explained, "Based on Chairman Lee Joong-geun's philosophy that 'the purpose of a house is not ownership but residence,' we are continuously striving to improve the quality of rental housing and expand welfare for residents."
The 'Booyoung Sarangro Daycare Center,' opened in the management building within the complex, supports residents in balancing work and family life. The 'Booyoung Sarangro Daycare Center' is one of Booyoung Group's social contribution projects that waives rent and uses funds for events, field trips, teaching materials, educational supplies, and improving the quality of meals to enhance welfare for infants and young children.
In addition, various community facilities such as a fitness club, GX room, small library, and cafeteria, as well as eco-friendly landscaping facilities including an ecological pond, water playground, outdoor exercise facilities for residents, and walking trails, have been provided within the complex.
The location conditions are also excellent. Taebaek Station, Taebaek Terminal, National Road No. 31 (towards Yeongwol), National Road No. 35 (towards Bonghwa), and National Road No. 38 (towards Samcheok) are nearby, making travel to other areas convenient. Hwangji Elementary, Middle, and High Schools, as well as Hwangji Free Market, Hanaro Mart, E-Mart, large supermarkets, the community center, and Taebaek City Hall are all close to the complex.
