Korean-American Han Seung-su Cheers for His Third Career Win

KB Financial Liiv Championship 1-Stroke Victory
First Title in One Year Since June Last Year’s Korea Open
Kim Yeonseop 2nd Place, Lee Taehee and Kim Mingyu Tied for 3rd

Korean-American golfer Han Seung-su secured his third victory on the domestic stage.

On the 26th, at Blackstone Golf Club in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province (par 72, 7,270 yards), Han shot a 1-under-par 71 in the final round of the KPGA Tour KB Financial Live Championship (total prize money 700 million KRW), recording four birdies and three bogeys. He won by one stroke with a final total of 11-under-par 277. This marks his third career win following the 2020 LG Signature Players Championship and last June's Korean Open, with a winner's prize of 140 million KRW.


Born in 1986, Han Seung-su moved to the United States during middle school and stood out as an amateur, being named the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Player of the Year in 2002. He advanced to the Japan Golf Tour Organization (JGTO) by finishing first in the 2015 Qualifying (Q) School and won the 2017 Casio World Open.


Kim Yeon-seop performed well, shooting 4-under to finish second (10-under-par 278), marking his best individual result in a KPGA Tour event. Lee Tae-hee and Kim Min-gyu tied for third place (8-under-par 280). Heo In-hoe and Park Young-gyu tied for fifth (7-under-par 281), Jang Dong-gyu and Lee Kyu-min tied for seventh (6-under-par 282), and Ok Tae-hoon and Lee Soo-min tied for ninth (5-under-par 283).
