Pukyong National University Establishes Korea-Indonesia National University Academic Exchange Hub

Inauguration of Korea-Indonesia National University Academic Network Consortium on the 23rd

National Pukyong University launched the 'Korea-Indonesia National University Academic Network Consortium' on the first floor of the Dongwon Jangbogogwan building on the morning of the 23rd.

This consortium was established as a consultative body to build a sustainable academic exchange, research cooperation, and human resource exchange platform among leading national universities in Korea and Indonesia.


On this day, a total of 14 universities, including National Pukyong University and 13 prestigious Indonesian national universities, participated and signed the founding agreement of the consortium.


The Indonesian universities participating in this consortium include Bogor Agricultural University, Mataram University, Padang State University, Semarang State University, Yogyakarta State University, Pattimura University, Sebelas Maret University, Medan State University, Jakarta State University, Jenderal Soedirman University, Malang State University, Indonesia Pendidikan University, and Ganesha Pendidikan University.


The member universities of the consortium agreed to actively cooperate not only in education, research, and academic exchange, but also in human resource and cultural exchanges among students and faculty.


The first chairperson of the consortium is Jang Youngsoo, President of National Pukyong University, who held the inaugural general meeting on this day, and the next chair university was decided to be Bogor Agricultural University in Indonesia.


President Jang Youngsoo stated, "Through this consortium, research and student exchanges between Korean and Indonesian universities will be expanded, contributing to innovation in education, science, and technology in both countries. Let us continue to share many innovative ideas for the future of both nations."


Puan Maharani, Speaker of the Indonesian National Assembly, delivered a congratulatory video message, saying, "I expect this consortium to be a meaningful starting point for exchanges between national universities of Korea and Indonesia, to strengthen student and academic exchanges among universities, and to contribute to the development of relations between the two countries."
