The "Development of an AI-Based Anticancer Herbal Medicine Formulation Algorithm Using Experimental Information on Herbal Medicine," which is being promoted as part of the "Establishment of an AI Platform for Herbal Medicine" project, aims to develop an optimized algorithm that can predict the effects of herbal medicine combinations and experimental outcomes for target diseases such as cancer, based on the toxicity prototype algorithm developed in 2023.

At this committee meeting, experts from academia, industry, and research institutes participated and presented a wide range of opinions on research methods and data collection strategies for developing anticancer agents with a focus on safety and efficacy. They also discussed the direction for advancing the project.

Jung Changhyun, President of the National Institute for Korean Medicine Development, stated, "We expect this research to make a significant contribution to the advancement of artificial intelligence technologies in the field of Korean medicine and to the discovery of new efficacies for herbal medicines." He added, "We will actively incorporate the diverse opinions of experts to ensure the project is carried out thoroughly and effectively."
