Ten Investment Firms Including Korea Development Bank Participate
The Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority (Commissioner Kim Byungsam) will host the "2024 DGFEZ Biohealthcare Company Investment Networking DAY" at 2:00 PM on the 22nd at the POSCO International Center in downtown Pohang, with over 50 participants including representatives from biohealthcare companies and venture capital (VC) firms.
This investment consultation event aims to create an investment ecosystem and establish investment attraction channels by promoting networking between promising bio and healthcare companies and investors.
During the event, six biohealthcare companies will present their core technologies and ideas, with the goal of attracting investments from ten participating investment firms. Each company will have a 20-minute presentation followed by a 10-minute Q&A session.
The participating biohealthcare companies include HealthyBuddy, BioN, DelightFood, ThreeBrooksTherapeutics, CamelBioscience, and OmniaMed.
The ten venture capital firms participating are POSTECH Holdings, KDB Industrial Bank, PathfinderH, Kiwoom Investment, Enlight Ventures, Quad Asset Management, AJU IB Investment, Heungkuk Securities/Shinhan Capital (Co-GP), Solidus Investment, and STIC Ventures.
This event is expected to serve as an important opportunity for biohealthcare companies to communicate directly with investors and seek investment opportunities, thereby contributing to the development of the regional biohealth industry and the growth of local companies.
The event was organized to further strengthen the innovation ecosystem within the free economic zone, hosted by the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority, and co-organized by Pohang Technopark and the Pohang Bio Company Council.
Lee Hyunmo, Director of Planning and Administration at the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority, stated, "We will actively support biohealthcare companies so that they can secure more investment opportunities and contribute to revitalizing the local economy through this event."
