On the 19th, Ahn said on his Facebook, "The content of former President Moon's memoir on diplomacy and security reported in the media is truly absurd," adding, "It seems that former President Moon trusts North Korea and Kim Jong-un more than the United States." He continued, "The claim that the North Korea-U.S. summit collapsed due to the United States' lack of generosity is so confusing that one might wonder who our ally really is," and pointed out, "It is shocking that he blindly believed North Korea's claims, being only eager for immediate achievements such as halting the South Korea-U.S. joint military exercises and declaring an end to the war."

Ahn said, "(Former President Moon) believed only Kim Jong-un's words like a dreamer," adding, "It has been blatantly revealed that North Korea has no intention of giving up its nuclear weapons and was only interested in making deals to gain as much as possible while smiling in front and acting differently behind the scenes." Furthermore, he said, "Given the reality, what should have been included in the memoir was not blaming others or self-praise," and criticized, "What former President Moon should write is not a memoir but a confession."

He also criticized Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea. Ahn said, "Lee takes it even further. He recently claimed that the Korean War did not suddenly break out one day but was the result of accumulated small military clashes along the 38th parallel," adding, "This essentially advocates a revised theory of a Northern invasion and a pro-North Korea stance. Such a person should not be entrusted with national security."
