Crime City Series, First Korean Film Series to Achieve 'Triple 10 Million'

According to ABO Entertainment, Crime City 4 surpassed 10 million cumulative viewers on the morning of the same day. Following Crime City 2 (12.69 million) and Crime City 3 (10.68 million), this is the third film in the Crime City series to reach 10 million viewers. Among film series screened domestically so far, the only series with three films each surpassing 10 million viewers was the Hollywood Avengers series.
Thus, Crime City 4 reached the 10 million viewer milestone 22 days after its release on the 24th of last month. As of this year, it is the second film to record 10 million viewers after director Jang Jae-hyun's 'Pamyoh'. In terms of all-time Korean films, it is the 24th, and including foreign films, it is the 33rd overall.
The lead actor Ma Dong-seok solidified his status as a box office guarantee with Crime City 4 reaching 10 million viewers. He has appeared in six films with over 10 million viewers: Train to Busan (2016), Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds (2017), Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days (2018), Crime City 2, Crime City 3, and this latest work. This is the highest record for a Korean actor.
