The Institute of Indian Studies at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies' Humanities Korea Plus Project Group announced on the 15th that it will hold an international academic conference under the theme "India's Great Transformation: Retrospect and Prospects."

The international academic conference will take place on the 16th and 17th at the Obama Hall International Conference Room of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.
Sponsored by the National Research Foundation of Korea, the conference will begin with an opening address by Kim Chan-wan, director of the Institute of Indian Studies at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, followed by presentations and a roundtable discussion featuring 26 researchers specializing in India and South Asia from eight countries (Korea, India, the United Kingdom, Japan, the United States, Taiwan, Vietnam, and New Zealand).
This international academic conference is part of the research agenda of the Humanities Korea Plus Project funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea, titled "India's Great Transformation and the Korean Reinterpretation of Indian Studies: Establishing a Global Hub for Indian Regional Studies," conducted by the Institute of Indian Studies at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.
