Nuerburgring Lap Time Improved by 8.7 Seconds
Porsche Korea revealed the testing process of the 911, which is the first to apply a hybrid drive system, on the 14th. As a sports car model representing the Porsche brand, it is undergoing final performance tests ahead of mass production.
Driving performance has been significantly enhanced compared to previous models. During testing, the N?rburgring Nordschleife lap time was recorded at 7 minutes 16.934 seconds, 8.7 seconds faster than before. This test vehicle was equipped with standard tires and an aero kit including a fixed rear wing. The new car will be officially unveiled at 10 PM (Korean time) on the 28th.
Frank Mozer, Vice President of Porsche, stated, "The new 911 hybrid has passed all demanding driving conditions, such as mountainous terrain and heavily congested urban traffic, where high RPM and torque generate significant heat in the drivetrain." He added, "Engineers and test drivers have completed over 5 million kilometers of driving."
