Busan Port is bustling with a welcome event for Japanese tourists during Japan's largest holiday.
Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Kang Jun-seok), together with Busan Tourism Organization (BTO), is holding a welcome event at Busan Port International Passenger Terminal for Japanese travelers visiting Busan on May 3rd during Japan's Golden Week (April 27th to May 6th).
On this day, about 830 Japanese tourists arriving at Busan Port by Korea-Japan passenger ships represent roughly four times the usual number.
Upon the arrival of Japanese tourists, Haebeom and Ppuppu, the characters symbolizing Busan Port, held a welcoming ceremony and took commemorative photos, enhancing Busan’s friendly image and travel atmosphere. They also handed out souvenirs such as eco bags and Busan tourism maps to commemorate the visit to Busan Port.
