Busan Office of Education Operates 'Achim Change Short-Form Challenge'

Creating a More Exciting and Fun Atmosphere for Morning Change Participation

Various Competitions Including UCC and Essay Contests Also Planned

Busan Metropolitan Office of Education is accelerating efforts to further activate the nationally recognized ‘Achim Change (體仁智)’ program.


The Office of Education announced on the 2nd that it will operate the ‘Achim Change Short-form Challenge’ for elementary, middle, and high school students in the Busan area until the 31st of this month.

This challenge aims to create a more exciting and enjoyable atmosphere for participating in ‘Achim Change (體仁智)’ in daily life.


To encourage students’ participation in Achim Change, the Busan Office of Education has produced and distributed four songs?Achim Change Song, Good Morning, I Like the Morning!, and The Same Morning Every Day?along with easy choreography that anyone can follow.


Students wishing to participate in the short-form challenge can select one of these songs, follow the choreography or create their own, and submit their videos via email by the 31st.


The Busan Office of Education will upload the submitted videos in the order they are received to the YouTube channel ‘Busan Office of Education Achim Change Short-form Challenge’ and measure views to select one team for the ‘Most Viewed Award.’


Additionally, on the 10th of next month, 15 teams will be separately selected and awarded based on 50% view count and 50% judges’ evaluation for Special Effects Award, Dance Award, Original Choreography Award, and Encouragement Award.


Videos featuring participation by both parents and teachers will receive extra points during judging.


The ‘Most Viewed Award’ and one ‘Original Choreography Award’ team will each receive a tablet PC; two teams each for the Special Effects Award and Dance Award will receive wireless earphones; and ten teams receiving the Encouragement Award will be given chicken and pizza gifticons.


Ha Yun-su, Superintendent of Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, said, “This challenge will be an opportunity for the entire educational community to participate more joyfully in Achim Change activities. Going forward, our Office of Education will do its best to operate Achim Change more substantively by preparing various competitions such as ‘UCC Contests’ and ‘Essay Contests.’”


Currently, 593 schools, accounting for 93.7% of schools in the Busan area, are participating in the voluntary physical activity ‘Achim Change (體仁智),’ which utilizes morning time before the regular curriculum starts for physical activity.
