About 50 representatives attended the opening ceremony, including representatives of 7.7 million small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners, over 60 private distribution companies such as Oasis and other distribution platform companies, and heads of related cooperatives and organizations. Four small business owner representative promotional models, university student supporters, and K-Global correspondents also participated.

First, a cheerleading performance team composed of children from Busan gave an encouraging performance for small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners, marking a vigorous start. In the following ceremony, a light performance was held where the stage and audience became one, symbolizing the meaning that ‘small actions come together to illuminate the great light of togetherness.’

Until the 3rd, at the main venue, Gumnam-ro Square, the festival will feature exhibition and sales booths for Together Festival products, an agricultural, livestock, and marine products market, busking performances, and event activities. Exhibition and sales booths for products from companies participating in the Together Festival, selected through public recruitment and recommendations from related cooperatives and organizations of small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners, will be operated. At the flea market, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, agricultural, livestock, and marine products will be sold at discounted prices. Various local products from Busan-based companies, such as craft beer, will also be available.

Additionally, free tasting events featuring Bokja Ade (peach and plum) prepared by the National Cafe Owners Cooperative, busking performances, photo zones, and other attractions for family visitors will continue throughout the three days.

Furthermore, to promote consumption in the nearby Gumnam-ro shopping district and Haeundae Traditional Market where the event is held, a prize event will be prepared for receipts from purchases made at those stores.

President Yoon Suk-yeol said in a congratulatory message read by Minister Oh Young-joo of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, “I hope the public will actively participate in the Together Festival and provide great support to our small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners,” adding, “The government is doing its best with a commitment to prioritize people’s livelihoods and will continue to carefully attend to this.”

Minister Oh emphasized, “With the hope that it will be an opportunity to revitalize the local economy and stimulate domestic demand, we have held the opening ceremony of this year’s first Together Festival in Busan,” and “I hope everyone will have a happy May at the Together Festival, which has been prepared more substantially than in previous years.”
