Goryeong-gun Conducts 'Visiting Safety Education for Vulnerable Groups'

Safety Training for Workers at 'Children's Facilities'

Goryeong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province (Governor Lee Nam-chul) conducted safety education on the 29th in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Korea Childcare Promotion Institute, a commissioned training institution, targeting about 100 workers at facilities used by children under the age of 13, such as daycare centers, child welfare facilities, and academies.

The safety education held at Daegaya Hall in the Goryeong County Office included ▲ cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) practice ▲ airway obstruction response practice ▲ emergency treatment situation AR·VR experience to enable prompt action in case of emergencies.

This training is a legally mandated education under the “Act on the Safety Management of Children,” requiring workers at facilities mainly used by children under 13 to complete at least four hours annually of practical emergency treatment training, emergency response procedures, and major internal and external emergency treatment theory education.

The “Visiting Safety Education” program reduced costs and improved efficiency by providing individualized training, alleviating inconveniences for workers at child-use facilities.

A county official stated, “Children and infants have a higher probability of unexpected accidents during daily life,” adding, “We hope this training will help protect children’s precious lives through prompt and accurate measures in the event of an actual accident.”
