The Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 29th that it will conduct a rolling recruitment announcement for jeonse rental housing tenants targeting newlyweds and multi-child households. A total of 9,250 units will be supplied, and the supply area covers the entire country.
The jeonse rental project is a system where selected tenants directly find the housing they wish to live in, and LH signs a jeonse contract with the housing owner and then subleases it to the tenant at a low cost.
Tenants can choose the desired housing directly, and LH directly handles the subscription to guarantee insurance, enabling deposit protection and reduction of insurance costs. Last year, LH supplied about 8,700 units to newlyweds, multi-child households, and others through the jeonse rental project.
This announcement recruits 5,000 units for Newlywed & Newborn Type I, 2,000 units for Newlywed & Newborn Type II, and 2,250 units for Multi-child Type.
The Newlywed & Newborn type targets newborn households with children born within 2 years, single-parent families, and (prospective) newlywed couples married within 7 years. They are classified into Newlywed & Newborn Type I and II according to income and asset criteria.
Newlywed & Newborn Type I applicants must have a monthly average income of the household at or below 70% of the previous year's average monthly income per household member of urban workers (90% for dual-income households) and meet the asset criteria for national rental housing.
Newlywed & Newborn Type II applicants must have a monthly average income of the household at or below 100% of the previous year's average monthly income per household member of urban workers (120% for dual-income households) and meet the asset criteria for Happy Housing newlywed couples.
The Multi-child type is for multi-child households raising two or more direct descendants who are recipients, lower-income class, or single-parent families, or whose monthly average income per household is at or below 70% of the previous year's average monthly income per household of urban workers and meet the asset criteria for national rental housing.
Applications can be submitted through LH Subscription Plus from the 29th until December 31. After applying, tenants can move in after about a 10-week qualification screening process. Detailed information can be found in the announcement posted on LH Subscription Plus, and consultations are available through the LH Jeonse Rental Call Center.
