On the 28th, Ahn posted on his Facebook, "I urge key party and government officials who caused the defeat in the general election to reflect," adding, "Rather than finding a specific scapegoat to shift responsibility, I ask for a step back from the frontline for a time of reflection, innovation, and reconstruction."

Ahn said, "We must elect a floor leader and party leader who can build a constructive party-government relationship for the sake of the party before personal interests," and added, "Now is a critical moment to firmly establish ourselves as a nationwide party with appeal to the moderate middle, metropolitan areas, and youth, and to innovate into a party that represents diverse social groups."

He also stated, "To prioritize the party, we must respect public opinion and normalize the rules of the party convention," and said, "To escape the current state where the party is distant from public sentiment and in crisis, it is possible to change the balance to 50% public opinion and 50% party opinion."

Ahn emphasized, "The fundamental cause of the general election defeat lies in the failures of the government and ruling party," explaining, "It was due to the failure of the government’s national policy direction that did not meet the people's expectations, and the failure of the party-government relationship."

He continued, "Despite the stern judgment of public opinion shown in the general election, if we still pursue small interests rather than putting the party first and shout 'as is' and 'we lost but fought well,' a greater path to failure will lie ahead for the government and ruling party," criticizing the current stance.
