LG Electronics to Have Top Executives Lead Earnings Announcement Following 'Open General Meeting'

LG Electronics, following last month's 'Open Shareholders Meeting' to communicate with shareholders, will have its top management directly present and explain the earnings results.

According to the industry on the 24th, LG Electronics will hold a first-quarter earnings briefing on the 25th under the supervision of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Kim Chang-tae. This information was recently shared with global investors, analysts, and other stakeholders.

Until now, LG Electronics' earnings briefings were led by IR executives and management executives in charge of each business division. However, starting with this earnings briefing, the event has been elevated to be led by the CFO. Accordingly, the management executives responsible for each business division will explain the business division-specific performance as before, but company-wide management status or strategies not limited to a specific business will be explained by CFO Kim. Kim will also participate in the Q&A session.

This move reflects the top management's intention to strengthen communication with investors. The purpose is for top management, who are well acquainted with the company's internal affairs, to take the lead in enhancing communication with shareholders and investors and to reinforce their commitment to responsible management.

Earlier, at the shareholders meeting held at the end of last month, top management including CEO Cho Joo-wan, H&A Business Division Head Ryu Jae-cheol, HE Business Division Head Park Hyung-se, BS Business Division Head Jang Ik-hwan, and VS Business Division Head Eun Seok-hyun all appeared to answer shareholders' questions and share strategic directions.
