Traders' '3500 Won' Double Cheeseburger Sold 70,000 Units in 3 Weeks

Food Court T-Cafe Gains Popularity with Cost-Effectiveness
Last Year, T-Cafe Surpassed 6 Million Visitors

Traders Wholesale Club (Traders) announced on the 24th that its "Double Patty Cheeseburger," launched on the 5th at the T-Cafe food court inside the mart, sold approximately 70,000 units within 20 days of its release.


The Double Patty Cheeseburger is a double-type hamburger with two patties and two slices of cheese, enhanced with domestic patties, onions, and pickles for texture, and a special barbecue sauce. Priced at 3,500 KRW, it is about 30-50% cheaper compared to other double-type burgers sold in the market.

Traders explained that the reason behind the Double Patty Cheeseburger's rapid success is thanks to the research and development (R&D) efforts of the T-Cafe buyer. The T-Cafe buyer continuously researches recipes to provide high-quality products. The Double Patty Cheeseburger was developed after about six months of research.


T-Cafe continues to introduce new menu items to attract customers to Traders by offering content that can only be experienced in offline marts. The food court, which was once recognized only for cost-effectiveness (performance relative to price), has now become a differentiating factor in offline distribution by combining taste as well. T-Cafe currently sells products such as ▲Half Chicken Rice Noodles Shrimp Bacon Pasta Meat Bake Green Onion Cream Soup Greek Schwein Dog, among others.


The popularity of T-Cafe has also contributed to Traders' growth. T-Cafe attracted more than 6 million customers last year, and Traders stated that about 1.8 million customers visited in the first quarter of this year. Thanks to T-Cafe's popularity, sales at all Traders stores increased by approximately 11.9% in the first quarter compared to the same period last year.


Park Jin-joo, a buyer at Traders, said, "T-Cafe has become a cost-effective hot spot that attracts many customers by capturing the two rabbits of taste and price," adding, "We will continue to develop various products that meet customer expectations and delight their taste buds and wallets."
