Held at Icheon Ceramic Festival Venue
Opening on 26th at Yes Park and Sagimakgol Ceramic Village
Gyeonggi-do Icheon City will hold the 5th annual 'Icheon Ceramic Culture Market' on the 26th, coinciding with the opening of the '38th Icheon Ceramic Festival' at the Icheon Ceramic Art Village (Yes Park) and Sagimakgol Pottery Village.
Co-hosted with the Korea Ceramic Technology Institute, this event allows visitors to exchange waste plastic tableware for ceramic purchase coupons. At the exchange booth set up within the event venue, waste plastic is exchanged at a rate of 5,000 KRW worth of ceramic purchase coupons per 300g, with a daily limit of up to 1.5kg (maximum 25,000 KRW) per person on a first-come, first-served basis.
The event also features promotional activities such as awarding an additional 5,000 KRW coupon when participants post photos of the exchange booth on social media platforms like Instagram and blogs with designated hashtags, and a giveaway of eco-friendly ceramic tableware for purchases over 150,000 KRW (limited to 30 people per day).
The ceramic exchange coupons can be used not only at the two ceramic booths and workshops at the Icheon Ceramic Culture Market venue but also at the 'Icheon Ceramics' sales area on the 3rd floor of the main building of Lotte Premium Outlet.
Kim Kyung-hee, Mayor of Icheon City, stated, "We hope this event will encourage the spread of a culture that uses eco-friendly ceramic tableware instead of plastic, and we ask for your active interest and participation."
