MS, Azure OpenAI Service Utilization by Korean Companies

Microsoft (MS) introduced Korean companies using the 'Azure OpenAI Service' on the 22nd. The Azure OpenAI Service refers to utilizing OpenAI's technology and services on Microsoft's cloud platform, Azure.
Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baedal Minjok, launched the 'Menu Ttukttak AI' service using the Azure OpenAI Service, which suggests menus tailored to customer situations.
This service analyzes customer-written reviews to extract keywords that identify food characteristics and ordering tendencies. It also recommends customized menus to users through 120 types of contexts verified for safety, considering factors such as time of day, dining companions, situation, and taste.
LG Electronics' H&A Division adopted CHATDA, a generative AI-based big data analysis solution. The CHATDA solution is used to effectively understand customer requirements and improve user experience. In this process, the Azure environment and Azure OpenAI Service are utilized to enhance data security and stability. The time required for legal review, data exploration, and processing analysis has been reduced from an average of 5 days to 30 minutes.
Pet robot developer Hyodol introduced Azure OpenAI and Azure Cognitive Services into its AI-based conversational care robot 'Hyodol 2.0' to improve the voice engine and advance conversational functions. According to research, this has increased intimacy with users by more than 10% compared to before.
Ruiten Technologies adopted the Azure OpenAI Service and Provisioned Throughput Unit (PTU) to stably handle user traffic that has more than doubled compared to before. The Net Promoter Score (NPS), indicating customer satisfaction with Ruiten's service, has improved by more than 30% compared to before.
Krafton's AI-specialized studio, Lelu Games, also adopted the Azure OpenAI Service and is developing new games. In particular, 'Uncover the Smoking Gun,' scheduled for release in June, is a detective game where players solve cases by conversing with suspects. It enhances player freedom to provide a realistic game environment similar to real life.
Convergent thinking company Creverse adopted MS's AI solutions to build a system that automatically evaluates assignments and provides personalized feedback, greatly increasing student satisfaction. The average grading time of 3.5 days has been reduced to 7 seconds, enabling real-time feedback, and operating costs are expected to be reduced by about 85%.
MS anticipates that AI technology will become an essential business element for organizational competitiveness in the future. According to research commissioned by MS to the global market research firm IDC, 71% of respondents are already using AI in their companies, and they realize returns on AI investments in an average of 1 year and 2 months. This survey was conducted with more than 2,100 business leaders and decision-makers.
