Gurye-gun Promotes Happy Dream Cultural Experience

Improving the Quality of Life for Seniors Through Various Cultural Experiences

Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will promote the Happy Dream Cultural Experience Project, which provides various cultural experience opportunities to local senior citizens.

Starting with 30 participants from Ganjeon-myeon on the 16th, the county plans to carry out the project a total of 10 times until next month, targeting 330 seniors in the area (240 from 8 eup and myeon, 60 senior university students, and 30 from the Welfare Center for the Disabled).

Sponsored by Gurye Natural Dream Park, the Happy Dream Cultural Experience is composed of diverse programs considering the participants' preferences.

Participants can enjoy the fun of tasting dumplings they made themselves through the experience of making organic egg dumplings, as well as enjoy the latest released movies filled with emotion and laughter. They can also enjoy healthy and delicious meals with eco-friendly healing tables.

The Gurye-gun branch of the Korea Senior Citizens Association is responsible for selecting participants and submitting the list, while Gurye-gun provides vehicle support and guidance for a comfortable and safe experience.

In the first Happy Dream Cultural Experience, 30 seniors from Ganjeon-myeon enjoyed a tour of an organic workshop, watched the movie ‘1980’, and shared stories while enjoying an organic meal.

County Governor Kim Soon-ho said, “We will continue to do our best to expand opportunities for seniors to participate in cultural activities and improve their quality of life.”
