Chungnam Provincial Assembly members elected in the by-elections held alongside the 22nd general election on the 15th stated that they will "work with a heavy sense of responsibility for the development of Chungnam."

Democratic Party of Korea members Hong Gi-hoo (Dangjin 3) and Lee Jung-woo (Cheongyang) took an oath to faithfully perform their duties as assembly members at the 1st plenary session of the 351st extraordinary meeting held at the Chungnam Provincial Assembly on the same day.

Assemblyman Hong said, "I feel a heavy responsibility more than the joy of being elected," adding, "I will strive for balanced development of Dangjin and Chungnam and for the unification of citizens divided by the election."

He continued, "I will work to ease the burdens of struggling ordinary people, and think and act for the future of children and the happiness of parents," emphasizing, "I will show you a reliable politician and an assembly member who will not disappoint."

Assemblyman Lee expressed, "I am grateful for the trust and support sent by the county residents," and said, "Although the joy of being elected is great, I feel a heavy responsibility to fulfill the wishes of 2.2 million residents."

He added, "I will become an assembly member who moves people by communicating with fellow assembly members and the executive branch for the development of Cheongyang and Chungnam."
