Osan City Supports Product Design and Marketing for SMEs

Osan City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 11th that it will promote a project to support product design and marketing to enhance the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the area.

Organized by the Gyeonggi Institute of Economic Science and Technology, this project provides support for visual, packaging, and product design to SMEs through design specialized companies such as universities within the province. Eligible applicants are SMEs engaged in manufacturing with headquarters or business sites located in Osan.

Support for product design is up to 14 million KRW, and for visual and packaging design up to 7 million KRW. However, companies must bear 30% of the costs. Applications are accepted year-round until the project budget is exhausted. Supported companies are selected through a first-stage document evaluation and a second-stage review committee evaluation.

Lee Gwon-jae, Mayor of Osan, stated, "Osan City will do its best to create a favorable environment so that companies can expand investments and create more jobs."
