Democratic Party's Bok Gi-wang Enters National Assembly... "Will Correct the Wrong Governance"

Candidate Bok Gi-wang of the Democratic Party, who challenged the Asan Gap constituency in Chungnam, succeeded in entering the 22nd National Assembly.


According to the Central Election Commission on the 11th, Candidate Bok secured 42,153 votes, defeating Kim Young-seok of the People Power Party by a margin of 7,598 votes, confirming his election.


In the previous 21st general election, Candidate Bok lost to Lee Myung-soo of the People Power Party by 564 votes.


Candidate Bok said, "I did not give up despite the pain of defeat over the past four years and kept working tirelessly," adding, "I am grateful to the citizens of Asan who recognized this urgency and love for Asan."


He also stated, "I will do my best to correct the wrong national administration, pursue political reform, and strive for a greater future for the Republic of Korea," adding, "I will confidently raise my voice for the development of Asan and the Chungcheong region on a bigger political stage."
