Mr. A was voluntarily taken to a nearby police station. It is known that he admitted to conducting an internet broadcast inside the polling station.

This is not the first incident to occur at a polling station. On the 5th and 6th, ahead of early voting, a man in his 40s, a YouTuber, was arrested on charges of secretly entering about 40 polling stations and installing illegal cameras.

According to the guidelines from the National Election Commission regarding voting precautions, taking photos of the ballot inside the voting booth can result in imprisonment for up to two years or a fine of up to 4 million won under the Public Official Election Act. Outside the polling station, voters may use installed signboards and photo zones to take pictures. Actions such as marking a candidate number with a finger or posting/transmitting photos with election posters or promotional materials of a specific candidate as the background along with messages encouraging voting participation are permitted.

The regions with the highest turnout so far are Gyeongnam and Chungnam (16.2%), followed by Gangwon and Daegu (16.0%), Gyeongbuk (15.9%), and Chungbuk and Daejeon (15.6%). Generally, the Yeongnam region, which had a low early voting rate, ranks high, while the Honam region, which had a high early voting rate, ranks lower.
