EM&I CEO Gochanghun: "Positive OLED Market This Year... Expanding Material Development and Supply"

Go Chang-hoon, CEO of EM&I, an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) material company, stated on the Korea Display Industry Association (KDIA) website on the 8th, “We will actively utilize the positive OLED market outlook this year to further expand material development and supply.”

In the KDIA CEO Insight published that day, CEO Go predicted, “Due to recent technological advancements and changes in market demand, the OLED market is expected to grow significantly this year.”

EM&I currently supplies OLED materials to DuPont Korea and Duksan Neolux. These materials are provided to end users of the latest domestic and international smartphones and IT devices. In particular, expectations for the OLED market are rising as Apple begins applying OLED to the iPad this year.

CEO Go said, “Demand for flexible displays, next-generation smartphones, and high-resolution TVs is rapidly increasing, opening new opportunities. The scope of OLED technology application is expanding through strengthened cooperation with global companies and increased investment in innovative materials and technology development.”

He added, “EM&I will actively provide necessary materials to industry, university research institutes, and academia to promote more active OLED research. We will supply essential materials such as P dopants, phosphorescent dopants, and deuterated materials in a timely manner, becoming a salt-like presence in the domestic display industry.”
