"We Will Capture 20% of the Domestic SDV Market Share"

Tmap Mobility (hereinafter Tmap) held a briefing session on the 2nd titled 'Introduction to Tmap Data Business and Infotainment Service Promotion Direction,' where it introduced a new concept of the navigation service Tmap Auto, including these details. The Tmap Auto with the new concept applied aims for commercialization within this year.
Tmap Auto goes beyond simple route guidance by proactively providing customized information and functions based on the user's situation and context. For instance, on routes that drivers frequently travel, such as commuting paths, it displays information on the map that meets convenience and interests. Based on AI, it uses vast accumulated data on the user's location and places to, for example, introduce other nearby vacant parking lots if the destination parking lot is full.
Providing map-centered services to reduce user risks is also a goal of the new concept. This involves combining real-time traffic information, routes, major places, and tourist attraction information on the map. Manager Park Seoha said, "We will upload various local services as video content so that users can view the information."
Tmap is expanding its business spectrum in the automotive sector based on cooperation with automobile manufacturers. Global automakers regard Tmap, which holds user data of over 20 million in the Korean market's infotainment development, as a strategic partner. Currently, Tmap collaborates with 16 manufacturers including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Jeep, and two more will be added this year, making a total of 18 manufacturers. Manager Park stated, "We aim to capture more than 20% market share in the domestic software-defined vehicle (SDV) market." He added, "Just as we provide Tmap for Kia's EV taxis, we are continuously seeking opportunities for cooperation with Hyundai Motor and Kia."
