On the 27th, Chairman Han said at the election committee meeting held at the Mansu Saemaeul Geumgo headquarters in Namdong-gu, Incheon, "Incheon is a barometer to gauge the resolution of the metropolitan area gap," and added, "We will focus on resolving transportation disparities in Incheon." He also stated, "We will accelerate the construction of ultra-high-speed transportation infrastructure such as Incheon KTX and GTX-B," and "Through a transportation revolution in major cities, transportation will undergo a dramatic transformation, restoring Incheon as the center of the Republic of Korea."
Won, who is running in Gyeyang-gu Eul, Incheon, announced his pledge to promote an unlimited-use transportation flat-rate ticket. Won said, "Seoul is already implementing an unlimited transportation flat-rate ticket under the name Climate Companion Card, and the response has been very positive," adding, "We intend to expand this to the entire metropolitan area, including Incheon and Gyeonggi, to make commuting in the metropolitan area cheaper and more convenient." He continued, "Our party will take the lead in coordinating with the government and local governments to offer this to all metropolitan citizens and young people who frequently use public transportation," and added, "This will be much more sustainable and productive than temporarily injecting 250,000 won, and it will not add to inflationary pressures." This was aimed at Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, who proposed a 250,000 won per capita livelihood support fund.
Chairman Han urged candidates running in the Incheon area to be cautious with their words and criticized Lee. Han said, "I believe we must act in accordance with the people's expectations. Please take Lee as a negative example," adding, "He repeats inappropriate remarks daily and has made statements that hurt many people, including those in remarried families in Korea." He also pointed out, "He confuses the public with stories like Kongjwi and Patjwi." The previous day, Lee, while campaigning in Gangdong-gu, Seoul, said on a YouTube broadcast, "The state or government should be like a reliable father or a warm mother, but now it feels like a stepfather," and "It only punishes without love. It’s like a stepmother. Like Patjwi’s mother."
After the election committee meeting, Chairman Han visited Moraenae Market and Inha Culture Street in Incheon to support candidates Son Beom-gyu of Namdong-gu Gap, Shin Jae-kyung of Namdong-gu Eul, Shim Jae-don of Dong-gu·Michuhol-gu Gap, and Yoon Sang-hyun of Dong-gu·Michuhol-gu Eul. Han said, "There is no legal basis for the central government to directly support traditional market merchants and improve market facilities in local areas," and added, "We will establish a legal basis for the central government to directly support traditional markets." He also stated, "Incheon has not received the treatment it deserves compared to what it has contributed to the Republic of Korea," and "I will take responsibility for Incheon’s development."
