Changnyeong Nakdonggang Canola Flower Festival, Rescheduled to April 4-7

Early Blooming Period... Scheduled to Open One Week Earlier

Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 27th that the 19th Changnyeong Nakdong River Canola Flower Festival will be held from April 4th.

Changnyeong-gun had originally planned to hold the Changnyeong Nakdong River Canola Flower Festival from April 11th at Namji Sports Park in Namji-eup, Changnyeong-gun, but due to frequent rainfall in winter and higher-than-average temperatures, the canola flowering period is expected to be earlier than usual, so the festival period was changed to April 4th to 7th.

This year's Changnyeong Nakdong River Canola Flower Festival will feature various programs including the Nakdong River Dragon King Grand Ritual praying for the region's peace and prosperity, celebratory performances, traditional cultural events, experiential activities, the Black Eagles Air Show, and canola flower radiotouring.

A county official said, “At the Changnyeong Nakdong River Canola Flower Festival Committee held in February, it was decided to change the festival period to ensure a smooth event due to the earlier flowering caused by this winter's higher-than-average temperatures,” adding, “We hope you enjoy spring at the Changnyeong Nakdong River Canola Flower Festival, where yellow canola flowers are in full bloom.”
