Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, visited Changwon, Gyeongnam on the morning of the 25th to campaign in support of candidates for the 22nd general election.
Leader Lee, along with candidates Heo Seong-mu (Changwon Seongsan), Kim Ji-su (Changwon Uichang), Song Soon-ho (Changwon Masanhwawon), and Baek Seung-a, a proportional representative candidate of the Democratic Party Alliance, visited Bansong Market in Changwon, urging, "Please cast all your votes for the Democratic Party, both in constituencies and proportional representation."

He said, "Changwon is the heart of industrialization that led South Korea's economic development and a sacred place of democratization that led the March 15th uprising and the Bu-Ma Democratic Protests," adding, "South Korea's growth and development are thanks to the economic progress and democracy led by Changwon."
He continued, "After two years of the Yoon Seok-yeol administration, both the economy and democracy have collapsed," calling it an "irreparable administration."
"Voters just need to firmly raise the whip on April 10 to wake them up," he emphasized, "I will work with capable workers to stop the regime's tyranny and bring about definite change and greater development for Changwon and Gyeongnam."
He also stated, "The most crucial agenda of this election is to judge the administration's failures," and said, "I believe that not only on the Nakdong River front but also our people, as sovereign citizens, will clearly express their sovereign will, and I will earnestly appeal for support with a humble attitude."

Earlier that morning, Leader Lee greeted commuters with Byeon Gwang-yong, a candidate in the Geoje area, in front of Samsung Heavy Industries in Geoje and met with shipyard workers.
At the provincial party office, he held a joint meeting with Kim Boo-kyum, standing co-chairman of the election countermeasures committee, and candidates running in the Gyeongnam region.
That afternoon, Leader Lee supported the campaigns of Kim Jeong-ho (Gimhae Gap) and Min Hong-chul (Gimhae Eul) in Gimhae, then moved to Yangsan to appeal for support for candidates Lee Jae-myung (Yangsan Gap) and Kim Du-gwan (Yangsan Eul).
