Sookmyung Women's University Future Education Center, Recruiting 1st Class for 'AI·ESG Convergence Expert Course'

The Future Education Center at Sookmyung Women's University will launch the first session of the 'AI ESG Convergence Expert Practical Course' on April 2, and is recruiting students until May 1.

According to Sookmyung Women's University on the 25th, this course will be held at Sookmyung Women's University every Tuesday from 7 PM to 9 PM for 10 weeks, from May 2 to June 4.

The curriculum includes the AI Great Transformation era, hands-on practice with generative AI (artificial intelligence), AI training exercises, ESG (environment, social, governance) transition and climate tech, understanding and practice of SDG (Sustainable Development Goals), article writing and submission, among others. Upon completion, participants can work as AI instructors and ESG instructors, and after evaluation, can also work as guest reporters for 'Sisa & People'.

Additionally, those who complete the 'AI ESG Convergence Expert Practical Course' will receive three certificates from the President of Sookmyung Women's University, the President of the Korea AI Education Association, and the Director of the ESG Metaverse Development Institute. Furthermore, upon completing the 'AI ESG Convergence Expert Special Course,' participants will receive three certificates from the President of the Korea AI Education Association, the Director of the ESG Metaverse Development Institute, and others.

The ESG Metaverse Development Institute (Director Moon Hyung-nam, Professor of the Department of Global Convergence at Sookmyung Women's University), a specialized institution for AI and ESG education, evaluation, and consulting within Sookmyung Women's University, operates the 'AI ESG Convergence Expert Special Course,' a condensed one-day, 6-hour class focusing on the core of the 'AI ESG Convergence Expert Practical Course,' held on Saturdays.

Professor Moon, who oversees the planning and lectures for both courses, said, "Most AI education is conducted at a functional level, but by taking this course, you can become an ‘AI master’ who handles AI well." He added, "This is the first and only domestic course that corrects the commonly misunderstood basic concepts of ESG and properly informs about the expanded climate tech and SDG. It is essential for office workers, corporate executives, public officials, and individuals to take this course."
