Enjoying the Scent of Spring on the Left Hillside of the Hongsalmun Gate

Special Opening of Azalea Forest Trail at King Sejong's Tomb

The azalea forest trail at King Sejong's Tomb will be opened in accordance with the blooming period of the azalea flowers. The Cultural Heritage Administration's Royal Tombs and Relics Headquarters, King Sejong Heritage Management Office, announced on the 25th that visitors can enjoy the spring fragrance from the 26th until the 7th of next month. The trail is located on the hillside to the left of the Hongsalmun gate at King Sejong's Tomb. Under the dense pine trees, a natural colony of azaleas (approximately 10,000㎡) has formed. The opening hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Safety management personnel will be on site to ensure safe viewing and provide guidance. The blooming status of the azalea flowers can be checked in advance on the King Sejong Heritage Management Office's social media (Instagram). A management office official stated, "The opening period may change depending on the actual blooming period."
