On March 23, Suhyun Park, the Democratic Party candidate for Gongju, Buyeo, and Cheongyang, stated, "While the global economic environment is extremely challenging, the quality of politics in South Korea is among the lowest in the world, causing great concern among the people."

On this day, during a press conference held at his campaign office in Gongju, South Chungcheong Province, Park said, "All general election candidates should treat the issue of political aversion as a common challenge," and added, "I will take the lead in central politics to address this issue."

He continued, "Recent public opinion polls show a significant generational gap," and emphasized, "Without addressing this gap, we cannot build a healthy South Korea, nor can we ensure the well-being of family members."

Park stated, "The older generation achieved industrialization, and during the democratization era, they considered their children's suffering as their own. I respect and honor the elderly and their lives, but no parent can win over their children's wishes," appealing for support by saying, "If the younger generation desires change this much, please listen to them at least once."

He went on to say, "If the younger generation finds it difficult to live in the current era and wishes for change, they must vote," and urged, "Please explain this sincerely to your parents."

He noted, "Globally, conditions for competition are worsening due to supply chain instability caused by war, putting South Korea at risk. Politics, which should be solving these problems, is instead fostering hatred and failing to provide hope and dynamism to the people," and pledged, "If elected to the National Assembly, I will put an end to extreme divisive politics and pursue politics of unity and cooperation."

According to a recent public opinion poll released by Daejeon MBC, Park leads Jinseok Chung, the People Power Party candidate, by a margin outside the margin of error among voters in their 20s to 50s. However, among those aged 60 and above, Chung holds a significant lead over Park, also outside the margin of error.
