'Haneuljeongwon-gil' Opening on the 15th
80% of Advance Reservations Are Women... Especially Popular Among Those in Their 30s to 50s
Samsung C&T Resort Division's Everland announced on the 13th that 6,000 people have flocked in just one week to the exclusive product for the Maehwa-themed garden 'Sky Garden Path,' which began accepting reservations on the 6th.
Everland anticipated that the Maehwa blooming period would advance by about ten days compared to last year and launched the exclusive Sky Garden Path product available from the 15th to the 26th.
Among the advance reservations, 80% are women. An Everland official said, "It is attracting interest from women who are looking forward to the charm of the early Maehwa," adding, "Especially, the proportion of women in their 30s to 50s is very high."
Lee Jun-gyu, head of the Plant Content Group (Ph.D. in Landscape Architecture), analyzed the popularity factor, saying, "It seems to reflect the recent nationwide increase in interest in gardens and the fact that Maehwa, which was mainly seen in the southern regions, can now be enjoyed relatively early in the metropolitan area."
Sky Garden Path, opened in 2019, is the first Maehwa-themed garden in the metropolitan area and has become a popular destination for spring visitors. As Everland's largest garden, it features about 700 Maehwa trees of 11 varieties, including Mancheop Hongmae, Yulgok Mae, and Yongyu Mae, along with various trees and spring flowers harmoniously blended. Starting this year, a new 'audio docent service' is provided through the Everland app, allowing visitors to hear various stories related to the entire Sky Garden Path, Majungdeul, Bamboo Forest Path, and Flower Lawn Hill from Everland plant experts.
