Coding, Jeonse Fraud Prevention, and Even Climbing... Eye-Catching 'Yongin Cheongnyeon LAB'

Yongin City Recruiting 170 Participants for 12 Courses
Offering Various Education and Consulting Programs

'Coding, financial technology, jeonse fraud prevention, climbing….' These are some of the programs offered by 'Yongin Youth LAB,' operated by Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province.


Yongin City announced on the 22nd that it is recruiting 170 young people to participate in 12 courses held in March at 'Yongin Youth LAB' located in the Cheoin, Suji, and Giheung districts. Yongin Youth LAB is an education and consulting support program established by the city to help local youth grow as members of society.


This year, the city will offer 250 courses across five fields: skill development, employment and entrepreneurship, self-reliance support, culture and arts, and psychological and emotional well-being. Any youth aged 18 to 39 residing in Yongin can participate free of charge.

In March, the psychological and emotional well-being field will feature courses such as 'Image Consulting through Color' and 'Hip Pot Class: Making Your One and Only Flowerpot.' In the culture and arts field, courses like 'Making Kitsch Moru Dolls' and 'Creating Your Own Signature Perfume' will be offered.


In the skill development field, the course 'DigitalX Competency Enhancement: Making Cozy Interior Accessories with Coding' draws attention. In the self-reliance support field, the course 'Wise Youth Life: Jeonse Fraud Prevention' will be conducted.


The city has especially prepared the 'Challenge Crew' program this year to help young social newcomers interact through sports activities such as climbing, tennis, and football. In March, the 'Challenge Crew Climbing' course will be opened at the Suji Climbing Center, recruiting 15 young people.


Those wishing to participate can apply by filling out and submitting an application form on the 'Yongin Youth LAB' website. A city official said, "This year, we have filled the program with highly practical courses reflecting the voices of youth, such as finance and credit management and small sports gatherings," adding, "We will continue to prepare substantial programs that allow young people to passionately pursue their dreams."
