Everland YouTube Views Surpass 500 Million... First in the Theme Industry

1.26 Million Subscribers, Over 2,700 Videos

Samsung C&T Resort Division announced on the 15th that its official YouTube channel 'Everland' has surpassed 500 million cumulative views, becoming the first in the theme park industry to achieve this milestone.


The Everland YouTube channel reached 100 million views in September 2019, 300 million views in May 2023, and exceeded 500 million views in February this year. The Everland channel was the first in the leisure industry to surpass 1 million subscribers in July last year, earning the Gold Button, and currently communicates with 1.26 million subscribers through over 2,700 videos.

Samsung C&T Resort Division cited the empathy and healing from interactions with animals, including the panda 'Pubao', as well as entertaining visuals and informative content as the reasons behind the Everland channel's popularity.


Pubao, the panda born through Korea's first natural breeding in July 2020, sparked a nationwide 'Pubao fever' as the chemistry and growth process with the caretakers were revealed through YouTube. In particular, the arm-in-arm date with caretaker Kang Cheol-won garnered 22 million views, and a video where Pubao clings to Kang’s leg as if asking to play recorded 16 million views, driving panda popularity both domestically and internationally. Besides pandas, fans are increasing as they empathize, heal, and find comfort watching videos of various animals such as red pandas, baby giraffes, and tiger siblings.


The channel also offers diverse content such as vlogs by part-time cast members called 'Cast by Cast (CabaCae)', drone scenery, and popular attraction ride experiences. It is also the first to release informative content including transportation and discount information to know before visiting Everland, outing courses by preference, food, and merchandise.


The Samsung C&T Resort Division YouTube team said, "We strive to allow people to experience and feel various aspects of Everland anytime and anywhere in their daily lives," adding, "We will continue to develop the channel so that customers can empathize more and receive healing and comfort."
