Forced Wife's Confinement at Home and Participation in Adult Broadcasts
A former soldier accused of confining his wife at home and forcing her to appear on adult broadcasts appeared before the media for the first time.
On the afternoon of the 4th, Mr. A, a man in his 30s accused of coercion, confinement, and threats, arrived at the Incheon District Court for a pre-trial detention hearing (warrant review).

With a cast on one leg, he got off a police van and moved in a wheelchair. His handcuffed hands were covered with cloth, and he wore a mask to conceal his face.
Mr. A did not respond to reporters' questions such as "Do you admit to the charges?" He also remained silent when asked, "Do you have anything to say to your wife?" and "Did you say you would send naked photos of your wife to her father-in-law?"
The warrant review for Mr. A is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. that day. The decision on detention is expected to be made later in the afternoon.
Mr. A, who was a professional soldier, was previously caught sharing illegal videos online and was forcibly discharged in 2021. Afterward, he actively engaged in adult broadcasting and demanded various perverse videos from his wife.
Ms. B left a suicide note stating, "I was forced to broadcast under my husband's surveillance and suffered severe stress and depression," "Even after breaking up, the threats and demands for money continued," and "My husband took all the cash he had saved, leaving only debt and several tens of millions of won in taxes."
Additionally, Ms. B's father learned shocking facts from his daughter's friend: "The son-in-law forced my daughter to record sexual videos and sold them on adult sites for money," and "He made her do adult broadcasts for up to 10 hours a day." Subsequently, Ms. B's father filed a complaint with the Yeonsu Police Station in Incheon, demanding that the son-in-law be punished.
The police received the complaint from Ms. B's family and conducted a search and seizure at Mr. A's residence in Siheung, Gyeonggi Province, on the 1st. They also obtained the deceased's mobile phone and carried out digital forensic analysis.
Through the phone forensics, the police discovered that in October last year, when Ms. B could no longer endure and left the house, Mr. A threatened her to return by saying, "I will send naked photos to your father-in-law."
They also found messages in which Mr. A mentioned a child Ms. B had before marriage, saying, "I will reveal photos of your child on adult broadcasts."
It was also revealed that Ms. B reluctantly signed a contract for adult broadcast appearances presented by Mr. A. The contract included slave-like terms such as "The agency may interfere with the BJ's private life" and "The BJ cannot unilaterally terminate the contract even if suffering from depression."
