Daegu Suseong-gu, Weekend Farm Plots for Joilgol, Maeho, Cheoneulsan ... 40,000 KRW for 20㎡

Daegu Suseong-gu (District Mayor Kim Dae-kwon) is recruiting weekend farm plot tenants from February 1 to February 15, allowing local residents to grow fresh food themselves and enjoy wholesome leisure activities.

Any Suseong-gu resident interested in urban agriculture can apply. Applications can be submitted online through the Suseong-gu Office website or by visiting the local administrative welfare center in their neighborhood.

If the number of applicants exceeds the available plots, recipients will be selected through a computer lottery. The lottery results are expected to be posted on the Suseong-gu Office website in March.

The weekend farms available this year are three locations in Jisan-dong: Joilgok Farm, Maeho Farm, and Cheoneulsan Farm.

Each plot, including common areas, is about 20㎡ and is considered one unit. The rental price is 40,000 KRW. Only one plot can be rented per household, and usage is available from the end of March to early December.

Joilgok Farm and Maeho Farm each offer 100 plots, while Cheoneulsan Farm offers 180 plots. Approximately 30% of these plots will be preferentially allocated to seniors aged 65 and older.

Additionally, about 80 special rental plots are available free of charge for basic livelihood security recipients, persons with disabilities, national veterans, persons eligible for veterans’ compensation, and immigrant marriage households.

In particular, this year Suseong-gu plans to offer flower beds for free at Cheoneulsan Farm, creating a healing space where residents can cultivate annual flowers and gain psychological stability.
