Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, held the ‘2024 First Half Rapid Execution Preliminary Inspection Report Meeting’ to boost local economic vitality.

The meeting, held on the 26th, was chaired by the county governor and attended by key executives. It was organized to concentrate all efforts on first-half fiscal execution aimed at revitalizing the stagnant local economy and restoring the livelihood economy.

The county set its own rapid execution target rate for the first half of 2024 and shared major project implementation plans by department, while discussing issues for each project and strategic solutions.

In particular, to invigorate the sluggish local construction market, the county plans to pay advances and progress payments as much as possible through early contract promotion for construction and service orders issued this year. To prevent delays in execution due to procedural setbacks, pre-administrative procedures such as permits and compensation negotiations will also be carried out promptly.

Governor Seong Nak-in stated, “Rapid execution of local finances in the first half is crucial for creating a virtuous cycle of local economic revitalization and livelihood economy recovery,” and added, “I hope all departments will make every effort to ensure that the benefits of fiscal execution are quickly delivered to the residents and the local economy.”

Meanwhile, Changnyeong-gun was selected as an ‘Excellent Institution for Rapid Execution in the First Half of 2023’ and secured a fiscal incentive of 150 million KRW.
