On the 25th, S-OIL Ulsan Plant delivered a donation of 1.6 billion KRW to the Ulsan Community Chest of Korea at Ulsan City Hall, attended by Kim Doo-gyeom, Mayor of Ulsan, Park Bong-soo, President of S-OIL Operations, and Jeon Young-do, Chairman of the Ulsan Community Chest of Korea.
The neighborly love donation delivered by S-OIL on this day will be used through the Ulsan Community Chest of Korea for rice and heating oil support projects for neighbors in need in the Ulsan area, support projects for vulnerable groups such as the disabled and elderly, youth support projects, and housing environment improvement projects for vulnerable groups.
Park Bong-soo, President of S-OIL, said, “Under S-OIL’s corporate value of ‘sharing,’ we are pleased to deliver warmth of love to neighbors in need in the Ulsan region,” and added, “We will continue to strive to become a company that grows together with the local community.”
Jeon Young-do, Chairman of the Ulsan Community Chest of Korea, said, “In a situation where social welfare facilities and institutions are facing great difficulties due to cold weather and economic recession, we are grateful for the generous donation decision again this year following last year,” and added, “We will make sure that the donated funds and goods help neighbors in need have a warm winter.”
S-OIL Ulsan Plant donated a large sum of 1.6 billion KRW to the Ulsan Community Chest of Korea again this year following last year, and is carrying out various social contribution activities for the development of the local community, including directly delivering donations to local social welfare organizations such as the Ulsan branch of the Korean Red Cross and the Ulsan Social Welfare Council.
The Ulsan Community Chest of Korea is conducting the Hope 2024 Sharing Campaign from December 1, 2023, to January 31, 2024, and awaits citizens’ participation in donating funds and goods.
