Jeongeup-si Recruiting Participating Businesses for 'WalkOn Small Business Connection Challenge'

The Jeongeup City Public Health Center in Jeonbuk announced on the 25th that it is recruiting businesses to participate in the mobile walking app ‘WalkOn’ Small Business Linked Challenge.

‘WalkOn’ is an app that measures your step count and gives gifts when you reach a certain number of steps through challenges.

The Small Business Linked Challenge will provide coupons worth 10,000 KRW for using small business establishments to citizens who achieve their goals during the challenge period, expected to meet various citizen demands and help revitalize the local economy.

The recruitment period for small business challenge participating companies is from the 29th of this month to the 23rd of next month, targeting general restaurants, snack bars, and bakeries.

However, establishments that have received administrative sanctions under the Food Sanitation Act within the past two years and franchise stores are excluded.

The city plans to select about 15 businesses based on the preferences survey of challenge participants among the applicants.

A public health center official said, “We will continue to take the lead in creating an atmosphere for citizens to practice walking exercise in daily life through the ‘WalkOn’ walking app challenge.”

Meanwhile, the ‘WalkOn’ challenge is open to all Jeongeup citizens, and currently, more than 12,200 people have joined and are participating in walking.

In particular, by operating various challenges such as mileage on the largest scale in the province, it received great responses last year with a total of 37,700 participants.
