Jeju West Fire Station Conducts Special Training for Pumbulance Dispatch Crew

Jeju Western Fire Station (Chief Ko Jeong-bae) announced on the 25th that it conducted special training for 62 members of the Pump Ambulance dispatch team.


The Pump Ambulance is a dispatch system introduced to simultaneously deploy fire pump trucks and ambulances to emergency scenes to support rapid emergency treatment and rescue activities. Currently, the Western Fire Station operates and manages six Pump Ambulances.

Jeju West Fire Station Conducts Special Training for Pumbulance Dispatch Crew

This training was conducted from the 24th to the 26th for Pump Ambulance members, with a specialized emergency medical instructor from the Western Fire Station serving as the trainer.


The main topics included role division according to the first-arrival Pump Ambulance dispatch situation, patient assessment by emergency type, on-site response methods for multiple casualties, and CPR training for the ambulance and Pump Ambulance team.


Chief Ko Jeong-bae stated, “Through continuous education and training reinforcement, we will actively utilize Pump Ambulances during ambulance shortages in the jurisdiction to increase the survival rate of emergency patients. We will do our best to improve the level of emergency medical care at the rescue scenes and provide high-quality fire services to the residents.”
