Shindonga Construction Strengthens Safety and Health Management with Goal of 'Zero Industrial Accidents'

Reducing Accident Rates in the 3 Major Frequent Types
and Actively Identifying Near-Miss Incidents for Improvement

Shindonga Construction has set 'Zero Industrial Accidents' as its top priority this year and is focusing on safety and health management.

On the 23rd, Shindonga Construction announced that it shared the 'Safety and Health Management Policy and Goals' company-wide at the beginning of the year and decided to drastically reduce the accident rates of the three major frequent accident types (falls, entrapments, collisions) as part of implementing the safety and health management system.

They will also actively identify and improve 'near-miss accidents,' which are considered precursors to major industrial accidents. A 'near-miss accident' refers to a situation in an industrial site where an accident almost occurred due to worker negligence or equipment defects but did not result in an actual accident.

Shindonga Construction obtained ISO 45001 certification for its safety and health management system in 2022 and has been operating a 'Safety Integrated Control Room' at headquarters where CCTV footage from each site can be monitored. When risk factors are detected, they are immediately communicated to on-site workers and measures are taken to improve the situation.
