Hilton, a global leader in hospitality, announced the official opening of Conrad Singapore Orchard, its second Conrad Hotel & Resort location in Singapore, following a major renovation. Situated on Orchard Road, Singapore's busiest shopping district and surrounded by lush greenery, Conrad Singapore Orchard offers an urban sanctuary that naturally blends luxury with local character.
Alan Watts, President of Hilton Asia Pacific, stated, “The growth of the award-winning Conrad Hotels & Resorts brand demonstrates Hilton’s commitment to continuously expanding its luxury portfolio in the most attractive travel destinations. Known for its strategic connectivity and vibrant culture, Singapore serves as a hub for travelers worldwide, whether for leisure or business. With the official opening of Conrad Singapore Orchard, we look forward to elevating the standard of luxury hospitality in this international city in partnership with our long-standing collaborator, Pontiac Land Group.”
Designed by renowned architect John Portman and featuring contributions from local creators and artists, Conrad Singapore Orchard’s unique design embraces Singapore’s Garden City environment. The hotel integrates art and nature across its 12 floors of modern guest rooms, meeting spaces, restaurants, and bars arranged in a terraced form. Portman’s exceptional architectural vision is highlighted by the skylit atrium, one of his most impressive and iconic legacies, which fills the entire space with natural light. Carefully curated contemporary art collections by local and regional emerging artists are displayed throughout, allowing guests to visually appreciate Singapore’s rich botanical heritage.
World-famous sculptures such as Stephanie Scuris’s Harmony Fountain and Michio Ihara’s Singapore Shower add a timeless atmosphere and emotional depth to the space.
David Tsang, CEO of Pontiac Land Group, said, “Conrad Hotels have always symbolized luxury hospitality, and we will continue to strengthen this position through extensive enhancements that improve the guest experience. We have maintained a close relationship with Hilton for nearly 30 years, and following the success of Singapore’s first Conrad Hotel, we are confident that Conrad Singapore Orchard will achieve unprecedented success.”
The hotel’s distinctive 445 guest rooms are designed to harmonize plant-inspired design with sophisticated residential living. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows and plantation shutters seamlessly connect indoor and outdoor atmospheres. The spaces are decorated in soft tones such as sand, cream, and pale green, accented with tropical tree planters and palm motifs to enhance comfort. Each room features art prints of native plant illustrations painted by Singaporean artists, capturing local charm.
The hotel’s 46 suites include spacious lounges and terraces. Among them, the Conrad Suite offers 210 square meters of space with a bedroom, living room, kitchenette, dining room for eight, entertainment area, walk-in closet, and steam shower facilities. It also connects to two additional rooms, each with separate entrances.
The hotel boasts three spaces for relaxation and reflection: an outdoor swimming pool nestled in lush greenery, a fully equipped fitness center, and an executive lounge with comfortable balconies. Fourteen versatile event spaces, including the expansive 583-square-meter Royal Pavilion Ballroom, are available for meetings, ceremonies, weddings, and corporate gatherings.
Candice D’Cruz, Vice President of Luxury Brands for Hilton Asia Pacific, said, “By introducing Conrad Singapore Orchard as Singapore’s second Conrad hotel, visitors and locals alike can experience the city’s sights, tastes, and entertainment in a variety of distinctive ways, complemented by the hotel’s uniquely personalized hospitality services.”
All ten restaurants and bars at Conrad Singapore Orchard share a focus on authenticity. The hotel’s culinary and bartending teams express bold artistry through curated experiences such as culinary tastings, behind-the-scenes tours, and workshops.
Basilico offers a lively community atmosphere infused with Italian sensibility, featuring a modern bar serving vermouth and cocktails alongside fresh seasonal Italian cuisine. The Michelin-starred Summer Palace artistically elevates Cantonese cuisine. Manhattan, recognized as one of the world’s best bars, serves premium New York-style spirits and is the first hotel bar globally to feature a rickhouse, offering barrel-aged specialty cocktails. Tea Lounge presents afternoon tea highlighting British and local specialties alongside regional botanicals, while Dolcetto provides a casual Italian dining experience from day to night with handmade pastries, pizzetta, coffee, and cocktails.
Guests at Conrad Singapore Orchard can enjoy Hilton Honors membership benefits. Hilton Honors is a loyalty program encompassing 22 Hilton hotel brands. To celebrate the opening, Hilton Honors members who book before April 30, 2024, will receive an additional 5,000 Hilton Honors points per night for stays through June 30, 2024.
